I’ve had a lot of jobs in my life. I started out cleaning bathrooms in office buildings in High School and working in a dry cleaners in college. I’ve worked retail at Bath & Body Works and in a bank. I also taught music for 9 years before I had kids and then the year before I had our daughter. Since then, I’ve looked for ways to fill my creative side while I stay at home and take care of my kidlets. Right now, that creative side is fed by working with the talented ladies at Izzy & Ivy Designs. I’ve had so much fun getting to play with patterns and change them up to make new looks!
So today I’m introducing you to what we’ve affectionately called Tallevie. It’s the Tallulah skirt (woven) mashed with a shortened Evie bodice (knit). It’s a great staple for any little girl’s wardrobe in that it can be layered with leggings and a cardigan in the cooler months. I added this simple apron with fun trims this time to add even more whimsy.
The peacock jacquard ribbon is from one of my new favorite trim shops, Fleuriste Craft Supply. The cute pompoms are from my local JoAnn store.
Speaking of JoAnn, how gorgeous is this new Jenny Eliza fabric by Jennifer Paganelli?!?! I’ve been dying to cut into this beautiful collection and I was so glad I could eek out another summer dress! I love the mix of bold colors and prints in that signature JPag style. Yup. I went there. Can you tell I’m a fan?
This classic navy and white knit is from Mel at Purple Seamstress Fabric. She has an amazing selection of solid and striped knits and has the best customer service!!!
I love the clean lines of the Tallulah and the Evie by themselves, but together, they pack a powerful pattern punch!
