I have another gorgeous line of Free Spirit Fabric to share with you! Today I’m showing off the funky and fabulous new prints from Erin McMorris. I fell in love with Erin’s designs last fall when I stumbled across Noteworthy and ordered it as fast as I could to use it for a little Back-to-School tunic for my first grader.
I have this quirky little habit when it comes to fabric designers. Sometimes I give designers nicknames. I use them with my fabric savvy friends because we all talk online and our fingers get weary of typing out all of the names. You know, because we have to save our precious fingers for the sewing. Names like JPags, JDew, and AMH frequent our conversations and Mrs. Paganelli, Mr. Dewberry, and Mrs. Horner are among our favorites.
Just wanted to pop in during my Thanksgiving illness and say hey! Yep. You read that right. Missed the turkey and everything. But thankfully my husband makes a mean gluten free chicken noodle soup and we had leftover chili. Not exciting, but it gives you something to be thankful for, right?
Anyway, I’m having a ginormous sale over in the Etsy shop through Cyber Monday if you are looking to add to your pattern stash!
One of the things I love about the internet and social media is that every once in awhile you meet people that you really connect with. You have things in common, like sewing, or the love of food, and you just mesh. And sometimes, if you’re really blessed, you get to meet those people in real life (and prove to your husband that they aren’t serial killers or something crazy). I met my friend Johnna last year through a mutual friend/food blogger (Hi, Debi!), and when she comes in town, we meet at our favorite allergy-friendly bakery and just have a blast.
It’s such an honor to be a part of this all-star blog tour featuring Riley Blake Fabrics! There are so many great posts, so if you’d like to see who’s wearing what to school this year, visit some of the other great blogs that are participating.
I am SO excited to finally get to release my first pattern as the new owner of Izzy & Ivy Designs! The Charly Tunic is the latest pattern to hit the shop, and she is definitely an all around kind of pattern!
Last Fall, I had the privilege of participating in a blog tour with some pretty fabulous pattern shops. We had so much fun that we decided to tour again!
