Winged Blog Tour

Lately I’ve been gravitating towards butterflies in my sewing projects. I think I’ve always loved the look of them, but I also love that they represent new life and being changed from one form to another. It reminds me of 2 Corinthians 5:17, which says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away, behold, the new has come.”

Quilt Market 2014 Prep

I had the opportunity again this year to sew up some pretties for a few fabulous designers for Fall Quilt Market. Before I sent them off, I snapped a few pics and I thought I’d share them with you today. In case you aren’t familiar, Fall Quilt Market is a giant trade show that is…

One Thimble and Modes4U Fat Quarter Challenge

Last month I was doing a little reading on the One Thimble (affiliate link) blog and saw that they were doing a fun Fat Quarter challenge. You basically had to sew up something using less than a fat quarter of fabric and submit it to One Thimble. A panel of judges will choose winners in 3…

Her new line, Cherie, from Art Gallery Fabrics, lives up to the…

Lily Giggle Blog Tour: Jujube Dress

Once upon a time, in the early days of Snickerdoodle Stew, Lily Giggle patterns (affiliate link) made a Christmas appearance. And then a Valentine’s Day encore. Needless to say, when Lily Giggle went on hiatus at the end of 2013, the PDF pattern world had a tiny hole in its collective heart.  You can imagine how excited…

Lovely as a Summer Day

C’mon…sing it with me… La la la– la– la la, La la la– la– la la My cherie amour, lovely as a summer day…. I’ve seriously been singing Stevie Wonder ever since I laid eyes on Cherie, this amazing, French-inspired fabric from Frances Newcombe and Art Gallery Fabrics.  It just whispers open air markets and…

One Thimble Volume 4: Traveller Tee and Urbanite Pants

It’s here!  Another amazing edition of the amazing One Thimble Ezine! As you might have read in previous posts, I am SO loving everything that is One Thimble.  It’s not often that you subscribe to an Ezine or Pattern of the Month Club and love everything.  In fact, in my experience, you get a lot…
