Where do I start with One Thimble? It has been my pleasure to be a part of a good chunk of the blog tours for this amazing E-zine. I mean, what’s not to love about a great PDF mag that talks all things sewing and patterns and tips and tricks and . . . ALL THE THINGS! I have so much love for this brand and I’m super excited to be a part of this blog tour for Issue 9, which happens to be their 2nd birthday issue!
If you doubt my love for all things One Thimble, check out my previous posts!
I think the best part of this is that not only do I get to post about my favorite E-zine, I get to share a pattern from one of my amazing friends, sewn in some of my favorite fabrics! The Timeless Treasure Skirt pattern was designed by my friend, Cassie, for Little Lizard King, and really is the most rufflicious thing I’ve sewn in quite a while! This skirt features a fitted waistband, suspender straps, an exposed zipper, and as many ruffles as your heart can handle! It accommodates sizes 12M-10, and has both Metric and Imperial measurements.
This month I’m promoting David Butler’s new line, Boro, as a part of One Fabric Nation for Free Spirit Fabrics. I love to turn these masculine fabrics into something unexpected for my girl. The Timeless Treasure skirt is the epitome of all things girly, so I couldn’t think of a better way to showcase these incredible prints in this blue colorway.
I’m not gonna lie. This skirt is a labor of love. The work is not hard, but you are going to want to find a series on Netflix or Hulu to get into. I think mine lasted one episode each of Grey’s Anatomy and Quantico, as well as several episodes of Project Runway All-Stars. The directions are straight-forward and the step-by-step photos help you along the way. It is versatile and can be made with cotton for a more casual look, or with lace and fancy fabrics for those special occasions. Maybe even use tulle for a special birthday outfit!
Overall, we are in LOVE with this pattern and I’m looking forward to my next project for the tour, as well as getting my hands on the full issue so I can see all of the other amazing patterns!
Make sure you check out the other stops on this tour so you can see all of the wonderful patterns!

I received this pattern at no charge but the sewing, images, thoughts, and opinions are certainly all mine!

Hi would make the carnival jacket!!
So, I would totally make Vincent the Victor first because I finally have a machine that does FMA and my little guy always needs more mama made things……however, if my kiddos saw the patterns in the e-zine, they would jump for that ring toss in a heartbeat (I’m sure Nicole would head right over to my fabric stash and start picking out fabrics)!
LOVE the Timeless Treasure Skirt!
Great review of a great magazine.
