I seriously can’t believe that we have made it to Issue 14 of One Thimble! It seems like the time has flown by! I’m excited to participate in the tour again, especially considering I’m sewing for ME this time! How’s that for self-care sewing!
Before I get to the heart of my post, I do want to mention the other participants in the One Thimble 14 Blog Tour!
There are so many great patterns, and I couldn’t possibly sew them all right now, so you’ll have to hop over to these other amazing bloggers and see what all the fuss is about! There are some great projects in this issue and I have several on my to-sew list!
I can usually only choose one thing to sew for my One Thimble tour spot, and when I saw this dress from Suzanne of Winter Wear Designs, I knew I had to sew it! WWD has become my go-to style house for self-care sewing. It has taken me a while to come to the realization that no matter where I am in the journey to love my body the way that God created it, it’s not wasteful to make something pretty for myself, and that if I have gorgeous fabric, I shouldn’t save it just for the kids!
The Amuse Boho Dress and Tunic is a women’s pattern that can be sewn in woven or knit fabric! It has variations for yokes, two sleeve lengths, and several options for the hem. It accommodates sizes XS-XXL.
I used this amazing rayon fabric by Anna Maria Horner from her Fibs and Fables line. It has the best drape and while it’s a little fussy to work with, it really holds up well and makes you look like a million bucks! I love the deep purples and blues of this fabric.
One Thimble 14 is available NOW and there are a few freebies for early bird buyers, if you purchase by February 13. Just make sure you make note of the time difference, as OT is an Australian company.
Happy Sewing!
