One Fabric Nation- Nostalgia by Jennifer Paganelli

As you may know, I have a big love for Free Spirit Fabrics. It all started back in 2013 when I discovered Parson Gray and made my Fire and Ice Collection which was inspired by David Butler’s Liberty Skirt. The folks from Free Spirit loved it and contacted me about sewing up a sample for Quilt Market, and I’ve been able to work on other great projects since then!

Early this year they invited me to be a part of a new blogger project called One Fabric Nation. It took me an entire 2.8 seconds to say YES to this amazing opportunity. A chance to play with some great fabrics and have creative liberty to show them off however I want? It was really a no-brainer. I’m also proud to be joined by four talented bloggers: Blue Nickel Studios, Jaybird Quilts, 100 Billion Stars, and Material Obsession.

Free Spirit is a part of the worldwide family of Coats brands founded nearly 250 years ago and now based in over 70 countries. They bring together a global portfolio of leading designers with fabrics as diverse and expressive as the artists themselves – perfect for those seeking out inspiration.

So now that you know the WHY, let me fill you in on the WHAT! All this month, I’ll be teasing you with projects from Nostalgia, Jennifer Paganelli’s new line releasing next month! I’ve said before that Jennifer is my BFF- Best Fabric Friend, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to sew with her lovely fabrics. She is an uber creative lady and just super sweet to top it off. Receiving her fabric to work on for my first set of projects seemed too good to be true!

Nostalgia is a gorgeous collection of greens, pinks, blues, and gold designs. You get everything from dots and medallions to harlequin and floral scrolls.

I love that almost all of these go so well together and I had a hard time nailing down a few favorites. But I pushed myself and came up with these four.

I even found some incredible trims that are a perfect match!

I’m working on some fun garments for my little girl, obviously, but I have a few of these prints that I’m going to spin for my little guy, too! And make sure  you subscribe to my blog to get all of my posts right in your inbox! There will be a giveaway at the end of the month and you don’t want to miss the opportunity to WIN some of these pretties!
