I’m back with another Loominous 2 project for you! This line is different from most of the traditional fabrics you see from Anna Maria Horner. Think shirting weight and jacquard fabrics. They are soft and light and are great for any of your woven garment projects. You can see the knit/woven combo I made with the Charly pattern HERE. Today, I’m going to share the Addie Jo Skirt paper pattern from Izzy & Ivy Designs.
It was really hard to decide on prints to use for this skirt! I loved the simultaneously graphic and grungy print of Plenty in Berry, so I used that for the main part of the skirt. The waistband is made from Tribe in Bubblegum and it has this amazing jacquard stripe here and there, so I used it as a point of interest. Everything is better with a little trim, so I used Handpicked Floral in Gray, designed by AMH for Renaissance Ribbons.
Those plums and pinks, combined with a cozy tee and new birthday boots make quite the fall outfit for my little diva.
My favorite shot from this photo shoot along the Missouri River is this one. One of my favorite poems from Robert Frosts begins with “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood…” and while there’s only one path here, the yellow from the falling leaves and the setting sun certainly capture that line in my mind. If you’re looking for some Fall inspiration, find some Loominous 2 as it ships to fabric stores this month!
