Meow Cottons Blog Tour

Today I have the most MEOWvelous new prints to show you!

Yep. I’m going there. I’m going to cram as many cat puns into this post as I can.

When Riley Blake approached me about sewing up something using Meow Cottons from Marcia Cornell for My Mind’s Eye, I had a loose idea of using the Izzy & Ivy Evie Sundress pattern. I had no idea what trims lay lurking in my stash, or that a fun costume accessory from Target would be the purrrfect addition!

I used Evie because I love the stripwork skirt. It’s a great place to display┬áseveral prints when you have several favorites. Or when you stumble upon the perfect black pompoms just waiting for their day in the sun!

Meow Cottons pair well with the always versatile Riley Blake Knit Basics. I used the 1 inch black and white stripe and the solid black.  This dress helps us eek out the last few weeks of summer and then we can add a jacket or cardigan to it until it gets too small!

Miss L had a great time attempting to be a cat for this shoot. I even caught her pawing at this flower sculpture!

Special thanks to Riley Blake for having me along on this tour! Make sure to check out Jedi Craft Girl’s stop on the tour, where you’ll see a fun quilt, plus an actual cat. Not just a kid who thinks she’s one.
