I’m so excited to kick of the Handmade Holiday Blog Tour with a few cute ideas from Izzy & Ivy Designs! I’ve sewed them up with some great Riley Blake prints, and they’re perfect for those that might want colors that aren’t so GREEN and RED. You know? This also gives you a little more stretch if you want this to be wearable into the new year, too.
I have always been a fan of Carly Griffith’s Little Matryoshka fabric, so when I saw that she had done a Christmas version that was cute and pink and oh-so-girly, I just had to go that route. Merry Matryoshka combines those sweet stacking dolls with stripes, snowflakes, and a cool ogee graphic. Since I needed a knit fabric for my Tallulah dress and Sweet Polly’s leggings, I chose a pretty blue floral print from Sandra Workman’s Dream and a Wish. I also used a woven of the same print for the plentiful pockets! I love how they coordinate, especially with adding this pink, lacy print from the Idle Wild collection!
The Tallulah Dress is a great winter option, whether you make it in knits, wovens, or a combination of the two! It’s perfect for dressing up, if you pick fancier fabrics, or for a school party or just hanging out! Pairing it with our Sweet Polly’s leggings gives a little more coverage and warmth for those cold winter days!
I’m love all the details! A striped bow. Big, roomy pockets. A great hemband for adding trims. White pompoms that look like snowballs, in this case.
I love the delicate crossover bodice, too.
Thanks for following along on my stop on the tour! There are more pretties to follow!
