Glamper-licious with a Cherry on Top

Nothing says summer like being outdoors, enjoying a slower pace, and eating sweet treats that are at their best once a year. Growing up in the Midwest, cherries were reserved for summer days, and I remember them being a staple of our 4th of July celebrations.

When I saw the gorgeous prints for Glamper-licious, a new fabric line from Samantha Walker and Riley Blake Designs, I was first drawn to the fun and colorful glampers that speckled the main print. The cherries also immediately caught my eye and I knew I needed to have them in my project!

I chose to use two patterns from Izzy & Ivy Designs; the Emory Dress, shortened 4 inches to be tunic length, and the leggings from Sweet Polly’s Playclothes, shortened to capris.

Emory has a great bodice and straps for embellishments! Not that this gorgeous Glamper Cheater in Gray needs much, but how could I not use the gingham and cherries?! These were in my stash and I had to include them. I pressed the crochet edge bias so it would be flat, and it really adds another layer of fun. Thanks to the ladies at Vintage Door for that amazing hack!

I’m just dying over the cherries. They are seriously my favorite EVER.

The hardest part of choosing fabrics for this line was that there were SO many fun options! I couldn’t possibly use them all, so you’ll just have to head to Riley Blake and spend some time drooling and dreaming.

Speaking of drooling, it didn’t take much to convince Miss L that strawberry ice cream with a cherry on top ¬†would be the perfect prop for this photo shoot. The waffle bowl gave us a little more shooting time than a cone would have, and it’s less of a challenge to balance!

Huge thanks to Riley Blake for inviting me to be on this tour! Make sure you check out the other amazing projects coming up!
