One of the best things about sewing for my kiddos is the satisfaction of knowing that I not only made something that they can wear, with my own two hands, but that they LOVE wearing it and ask to wear it again and again. I’m pleased to add these great Greenstyle Creations patterns to my kids’ wardrobes as we switch to a warmer wardrobe as Fall displays its beautiful colors and cooler temps.
I am honored to be chillin’ with the amazing bloggers that are a part of the Greenstyle Creations Focus on Fall Blogtour! We’ve seen some fun outfits from insanely talented ladies this week, and there’s plenty more to come! In fact, if you hang around long enough, you just might find some cool things at the end of this post!
First up today is the Greenstyle Creations’ newest pattern, the Laurelette dress. I was really excited to sew this up for my cutie because it definitely has a unique feature with this fun cowl neck. It also makes for an easy on/off garment for kids that may or may not have huge, Sputnik heads. I did make a few changes by replacing the knit skirt with a wider, woven skirt and I added a waistband and sashes. These amazing fabrics were generously provided by Riley Blake and I really love how the colors pop!
This sweet dress wouldn’t be complete for Fall temps in our area without a cute pair of leggings! I used the Greenstyle Creations’ Lucy Leggings and kept them really simple! These come with options for petals or ruffles, but I left those off to match the simple, clean lines of the dress.

I had an opportunity to sew up another fun item on this tour and picked out this really sweet fabric for my 2-year-old son. Printed out my pattern and put it together, only to discover that the pattern only went down to a 3! I was not confident of my abilities to size the pattern down, so I stuck with my fabric choices and made it for my daughter. And she LOVES it!!! My 7-year-old has also requested one for himself in solid fabrics.
This is the Lacy n Lane Hoodie T-shirt from Greenstyle Creations and my kids were just beside themselves with the details! A light-weight tee with a hoodie AND cool cuff with holes for their thumbs?!?! My daughter was totally in love with it, despite the fact that it was not pink or purple, which sometimes seems like it should constitute as child abuse in her eyes. I paired it with jean shorts for these pics because it was really warm, but I have plans to make a matching skirt and she is totally on board with that.
I made the hoodie almost exactly as the pattern prescribed. I think when I make it again, I will lengthen it a little or add the hemband and I will double the hoodie so it will be fully lined, as my machine does not like the double needle on anything other than a neckband.I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about these must-have patterns for Fall! These are great patterns to add to the PDFs you already
hoard have and are great for layering or standing alone or as part of a set when the weather gets warmer.
Not convinced? Head over to the other tour stops this week and see what other Fall fashions can be made from Greenstyle Creations Patterns!
