One Thimble Issue 9- Timeless Treasure Skirt by LLK

Where do I start with One Thimble? It has been my pleasure to be a part of a good chunk of the blog tours for this amazing E-zine. I mean, what’s not to love about a great PDF mag that talks all things sewing and patterns and tips and tricks and . . . ALL THE THINGS! I have so much love for this brand and I’m super excited to be a part of this blog tour for Issue 9, which happens to be their 2nd birthday issue!

One Fabric Nation- Boro by Parson Gray

I think I’ve recently discovered something interesting about myself. People see all of the cute things I make for my kids and say, “Oh, you must love to sew!” While that is true, I DO love to sew and make something fabulous from a pile of fabric and trims, in reality, it’s really about the fabric. If it was just about the sewing, I could make something out of any fabric and love it. For me, it has to be THE perfect fabric. Certain prints and colors move me in ways that others don’t! I also love a challenge and I like to use fabrics in ways that people might not normally expect. This is true of my obsession with Parson Gray fabric.

One Fabric Nation- Nostalgia by Jennifer Paganelli

As you may know, I have a big love for Free Spirit Fabrics. It all started back in 2013 when I discovered Parson Gray and made my Fire and Ice Collection which was inspired by David Butler’s Liberty Skirt. The folks from Free Spirit loved it and contacted me about sewing up a sample for Quilt Market, and I’ve been able to work on other great projects since then!
