I think most everyone would agree that everything is way more cute when it’s done in miniature. Even those silly food videos where they make the tiniest donuts, or burritos for hamsters . . . I just can’t stop watching! So the thought of making a mini quilt immediately intrigued me, but the real kicker was using Pat Bravo’s gorgeous Essentials II and Dare fabrics as my inspiration!
A few months ago I got an email from a new-to-me designer, asking me to be a part of her fabric blog tour. First of all, she said Riley Blake, so I was totally in, but then I saw these adorable designs in her Vintage Kitchen line and I was hooked! Andrea Mueller is the brain behind Jolijou and her work is fun and cheery and it was so fun to create with!
To start off my stop on the Fleet & Flourish Blog Tour, I’m going to play a little game of “Six Degrees of Separation.” I don’t think Kevin Bacon will be involved, but who knows, maybe there’s a connection? I digress. I have followed Maureen Cracknell Handmade for a few years, and when she introduced…
One of my favorite things about working in this industry is getting to know people that I would have never met in my everyday life. Last fall I had the opportunity to share Sharon Holland’s Sketchbook fabric with you and we fell in love with her designs! I got to meet her at Quilt Market…
It’s that time again! I’m so honored to be a part of the blog tour for the TENTH issue of One Thimble (affiliate link)! I keep coming back because I really love this e-zine and all of the great things it has to offer. Each new issue contains patterns, articles, and all around great info from and…
I’m so excited to kick of the Handmade Holiday Blog Tour with a few cute ideas from Izzy & Ivy Designs! I’ve sewed them up with some great Riley Blake prints, and they’re perfect for those that might want colors that aren’t so GREEN and RED. You know? This also gives you a little more stretch if you want this to be wearable into the new year, too.
It’s that time of year again, when those of us who sew are stitching ourselves into a frenzy preparing for teacher gifts, holiday photos, and anything and everything handmade. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get a sort of designer’s block, trying to come up with something new and fresh to sew! So I’ve teamed up with some of my favorite pattern shops and we’re bringing you the Handmade Holiday Blog Tour!
I really love Christmas.
Like, really, REALLY love Christmas. It is, after all, the most wonderful time of the year, right? I try to celebrate the birth of Christ in how I live my life every day, but there’s just something about setting aside a whole month (or so) to make it a special part of the year.
Where do I start with One Thimble? It has been my pleasure to be a part of a good chunk of the blog tours for this amazing E-zine. I mean, what’s not to love about a great PDF mag that talks all things sewing and patterns and tips and tricks and . . . ALL THE THINGS! I have so much love for this brand and I’m super excited to be a part of this blog tour for Issue 9, which happens to be their 2nd birthday issue!
It’s such an honor to be a part of this all-star blog tour featuring Riley Blake Fabrics! There are so many great posts, so if you’d like to see who’s wearing what to school this year, visit some of the other great blogs that are participating.
