Congrats to Sharon and Jaya on their wins! I can’t wait to see what you create!
I really couldn’t let this line pass by without sewing Brooklyn’s Boho Top, Dress, and Maxi from Izzy & Ivy Designs. And really, I would be doing both the pattern and the fabric a disservice by sewing anything other than the maxi version. It just screams to be dramatic!
I love this pattern for summer and Nel’s prints in the Malibu colorway were just perfect! I really had a hard time choosing which prints to include, but there really is no wrong answer with this line. The only downside is that there were no palm trees to be found in the Ohio Valley!
The tie dyed blues and dappled greens just invite you to a cool place to dip your toes and take a break from the heat.
The paper version of Brooklyn’s Boho Dress has a ruffled bottom tier, so I opted for that one this time. The PDF version’s 2nd and 3rd tier have the same dimensions, but you can just add three cuts of fabric instead of two, gather, then sew to the 2nd tier. I will have a tutorial on how to do this in the coming weeks, but it’s an easy adaptation if you want a little more drama!
I also had to add a flower to give more of that exotic feel to the whole outfit. This flower will be included in the upcoming Jack and Jill hat pattern from Izzy & Ivy, so make sure you check back for that!
I hope you’ve enjoyed all of these projects with Boho Babe! You can see the other projects here and here. It ships to fabric shops this month, so check with your favorite place to see if they are carrying it! Be sure to enter the giveaway and maybe you’ll get a stash of your very own to sew with!
This post is part of the One Fabric Nation blogger program from Free Spirit Fabrics. The fabrics for the giveaway and those featured were provided to me by Free Spirit. The projects were chosen by me and the thoughts included in this post are my own.by
